Eugene Yehˇ¦s Brief Biography

Eugene Yeh currently is the Deputy Director of National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) since Sep. 2003. He also held the same position in 2001. NCHC is a research center under the non-profit National Application Research Laboratory (NARL). NCHC is the only national laboratory dedicated to high-performance computing and advanced research network for academic and research communities in Taiwan. In NCHC, Eugene Yeh supervises the divisions responsible for networking, computing facility operation. He also leads a team to develop an integrated software system for NCHC operations, and security mechanism.

Before he joined NCHC, Eugene Yeh worked for IBM for more than 15 years in application software development at IBM Silicon Valley Lab. He also worked for several companies in the areas of network management system development, graphics chip design modeling and simulation, security systems, and the development of hospital database systems and CAT scanning algorithm.

Eugene Yeh earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. He got B.S degree in Electrical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, and MS in Electronics at National Chiao Tung University. His interests are in software methodology and development, networking, parallel systems, and management.
