Nen-Fu Huang  received the B.S.E.E. degree from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1981, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, R.O.C. in 1983 and 1986, respectively. From 1986-1994, he was an Associate Professor of Department of Computer Science at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, R.O.C. From 1997-2000, he was the Chairman of Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, R.O.C. Since 1994, he is a Professor of Department of Computer Science at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, R.O.C. His current research interests include network security, high-speed switch/router, mobile networks, Ipv6, and network management.

Dr. Huang is the Guest Editor of the Special Issue on Bandwidth Management on High-Speed Networks for the Computer Communications. From 1997-2003, he was the Editor of the Journal of Information Science and Engineering. He received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the National Tsing Hua University on 1993 and 1998, the Outstanding University/Industrial Cooperating Award from Ministry of Education, R.O.C. on 1998, and Outstanding IT people Award from ITmonth, ROC on 2002. He also served as a Program Chair for the 14th International Conference on Information Networks (ICOIN-14) on 2000, and Taiwan Academical Network Conference, TANET2002. Since 2002/8, he also served as the President of Broadweb Corp., Taiwan. He is now also serving as the Director of Ipv6 working group, NICI Ipv6 Steering Committee/Ipv6 Forum Taiwan. He is a member of the IEEE.
